In the 1990s, Sesame Workshop began producing Sesame Street videos for internal use, exploring specific topics similar lead poisoning and asthma that would otherwise not be featured on the master series. These productions were originally produced and released non-commercially on VHS tapes, and later, DVDs, that were packaged with physical outreach kits given to schools and communities for free.
